We are all somewhat familiar with the concepts of coordinate geometry if we have used a road map to locate a place. In coordinate geometry, locations are made in terms of two numbers or letters.
The simple grid below is divided into four quadrants or sections with the central point being at (0,0). The perpendicular axis are numbered from that central point to guide the user as to the location of points in each quadrant t. The horizontal line in this set of perpendicular lines is the X axis and the vertical line int his set of perpendicular lines is the Y axis.
