Adverbs are words that modify or describe a verb, adjective or another adverb. A verb is word that denotes an action being done by the subject of a sentence. Adverbs often tell when, where, why, or under what conditions something happens or happened. Adverbs often end in ly, but some do not. Adverbs can appear anywhere in a sentence.
