The volume of any space figure is how many cubic units the figure can hold. The formula for the volume of a cube is the length times the height times the width of the figure.
A rectangular prism is similar to a cube except it is a space figure that has has six faces that are all rectangles. Again, the volume of a rectangular prism is the measure of the length of the rectangular prism times the width of the rectangular prism times the height.
