Quadrilaterals are any polygons with four sides. While quadrilaterals can have all sides unequal and all angles unequal there are some special kinds of quadrilaterals. They are as follows:
A square is a quadrilateral with four equal sides and four equal right angles.
A rectangle is a quadrilateral wtih four equal right angles, and two sets of parallel opposite sides that are equal.
A trapezoid is a quadrilateral with two opposite sides parallel but not equal.
A parallelogram is a quadrilateral that has two pairs of opposite sides that are parallel and equal to one another. It differs from a rectangle in that its angles are not right angles. A rhombus is an equilateral parallelogram, with all sides equal.
