
The cabinet is a group of advisors to the president. They help carry out rules and policies for the president in different areas. They also help provide services to the citizens of the country.
The president nominates a person to be head of a department that is part of the cabinet. This person's resume is sent to Congress and if they approve the choice of the president, this person becomes the head of the department for the cabinet.
