The members of
this group have well defined canine teeth that make them ideal for tearing
off flesh. Some of these animals live in the sea and some on land. The sea
mammals in this group include the walrus, seal and sea lion. The land animals
are divided further into three groups:
Flat-footed flesh eating
mammals which would include the bear and the raccoon.
Flesh eating mammals that
walk on their toes including cats, dogs, lions, tigers, wolves and coyotes.
Flesh eating mammals that
walk partly on their toes and partly on the soles of their feet including
the skunk, weasel, otter and mink.
